Glenarm River & Linford Water 31.12.12

A great new years eve kayaking the Glenarm River & its tributary the Linford Water.

(Dont forget to change the settings to view it in HD, YouTube default is low quality)

Filmed on the GoPro and edited by me in the basic but very capable Windows Live Movie Maker

Still having some problems with condensation on the lense inside the casing despite using the desiccant inserts from gopro.  Have ordered a bottle of anti-fog solution to see if this makes a difference, hopefully the next video will have less blurred footage.

Additional awesome photography by Julie Crutchley. Great paddling with you Julie

Glenarm River & Linford Water 31.12.12

Kayaking on the Six Mile Water on an early December Saturday (15th Dec 2012)

Paddlers were Ross Graham, Owen Tay, Cathal Bagnal, Tim Craig & Mark Breen

Ross & Owen are the two very talented juniors doing all the freestyle maneuvers.  Ross recently qualified for the Irish freestyle kayak team and will be heading of to Nantahala in America for the world championships next year.

I recorded this on the Go-Pro with all the shots for the first part of the river being taken every 5 seconds (0 – 37seconds) and the later shots every 0.5 seconds (38 seconds to the end of the video)

A quick blast down the Six Mile Water

A video made from footage I recorded on the recent joint Lisburn City Paddlers / Belfast Kayak Club junior river day event.

We kayaked on the river Bann from Laurencetown to Gilford at a medium water level.

Staffed by club coaches, parents and volunteers and enjoyed by all the kids.

An Evening at Toome Playwave

A video I made from some footage on one of CANI’s Junior River Days on the Upper River Bann on 26th Feb 2012.

The Junior River Days are an initiative organised by Rodger Hamilton of Canoe Association of NI and a number of clubs throughout NI (currently with more of a weighting towards the Belfast Area). Teaching the kids together the FUNdamentals of paddlesport with an aim to introducing great young paddlers into clubs.

The latest session (26th Feb 2012) was a day on the Upper River Bann from Lawerencetown to Gilford. We were joined by many of Foyle paddlers young stars.

Lots of fun was had by all despite the low water conditions.
